A legacy worth nurturing

Tony van der Valk

When asked how long we've been in this business, it's with great pride we can say 'Well actually, we at Valkion were the originators of the technology forming the core of this business. Really, we created the business!  Let us explain.

Our founder, Tony van der Valk, was a unique man. And like many unique men, his story is a remarkable one. In 1985, Tony was diagnosed with a malignant, incurable brain tumour. Tony's  doctors told him to expect to survive no more than six months. Undeterred by this bleak diagnosis, Tony underwent a course of oxygen therapy in Germany, where a sample of his blood was saturated with Singlet Oxygen and re-infused into his bloodstream.

Miraculously, Tony lived for another eighteen years before passing away in 2003. During these eighteen years, he guided VALKION from being an idea conceived out of his own personal circumstances to an easy-to-use product that day-by-day receives growing recognition, interest and acknowledgement across the world.

At VALKION, we are proud to uphold Tony's legacy. We do this by maintaining his founding commitment to invest in research rather than expensive advertising, to fund independent academic studies to increase our knowledge in this field and to re-evaluate constantly our equipment's technical performance. We believe that by doing so, we're not only keeping one man's dream alive. We're also working to ensure that you, the user, can have easy access to the same technology that Tony van der Valk relied on so heavily in the final two decades of his life, priceless time that his physicians said he would never have.
